Degassing of water

Buffer tank protection by means of nitrogen

Protect your piping network by removing air from the piping system.

The pipe network of a heating system in a greenhouse is never completely diffusion sealed. Regardless of the amount of pressure on the pipe, oxygen molecules will enter. To keep this as low as possible and thus extend the life of heating hoses, degassing of water is important. Using a degasser will prevent oxidation in the heating system.

Water degassing

The colder the water in the heating pipes, the more oxygen is absorbed. Around 0°C, there is a maximum amount of oxygen in the water; around 104°C, the water is completely oxygenated. Through a water degasser, we bring down the pressure in the system, lowering the boiling point of the water and allowing the oxygen to be extracted from the water.

Continuous water degasser

Water that has been degassed goes back into the heating system. This deoxygenated water mixes with oxygenated water, reducing oxygen levels throughout the heating system.

The water degasser ensures that the moment of releasing oxygen and starting the vacuum pump is very short. This has the advantage that the boiler water is degassed in a significantly shorter time.

Extending heating system life by degassing

By continuously degassing the tap water, we significantly extend the life of the greenhouse heating system. In fact, due to the lower oxygen levels in the water, we prevent oxidation in the heating system.
