Pressure control buffer tank
Protect your buffer tank from implosion and explosion
Pressure control in buffer tanks allows you to check nitrogen pressure and water height.
To protect a sealed buffer tank against overpressure or vacuum, good protection is essential. A sealed buffer tank protects against oxidation through the use of nitrogen and must be protected against over- and underpressure, in order to prevent implosion and explosion of the tank.

Security guards against over- and underpressure buffer tank
Changes in temperature and water level in the buffer tank cause pressure differences, which can cause a vacuum or overpressure in the tank. As a result, the water level can become too low to extract water from the tank. Or worse, damage to the buffer tank may occur.
To regulate the nitrogen pressure in the tank, over- and underpressure protectors offer a solution. This measures the pressure in the buffer tank and a valve will automatically open in the event of an imminent vacuum, in order to restore the desired pressure level in the buffer tank with the influx of outside air. Conversely, in case of overpressure in the buffer tank (due to the open connection with the outside air), the excess nitrogen in the tank can also flow out. Presscon offers under- and overpressure protectors for both horizontal and vertical buffer tanks.
